Argentine businessman Federico "Fred" Machado, accused of links to drug trafficking and financing José Luis Espert's campaign, has arrived at Ezeiza International Airport, from where he will depart tonight as an extradited person to the United States. Machado is temporarily lodged at Post 1 of the Airport Security Police (PSA), awaiting his flight's departure, scheduled for 10:00 PM, heading to the city of Houston. Machado is being investigated by the US Justice Department, particularly by the Eastern District of Texas Court, for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, money laundering, and fraud activities abroad and in Argentina. In April 2021, he was arrested at Neuquén province airport after the United States requested his extradition.
